Womanthology Diversity Thought Leaders’ event at Warwick Business School in The Shard – Monday 20th November 2017

Woman-holding-mobile phoneIt gives me great pleasure to announce that Amazon will be supporting our Womanthology Diversity Thought Leaders’ event at Warwick Business School at The Shard in London on Monday 20th November 2017.

The event has been created in order to encourage more innovation and speed up progress towards gender balance by sharing ideas and encourage new thinking in the diversity space. This isn’t a challenge any of us can tackle alone. Particularly in the case of accelerating gender balance, many heads are better than one so I’m excited to have Amazon on board to bring their knowledge and experience around initiatives to advance women. By working together, thinking creatively and innovating we can create a new and more optimistic future for professional women.

Warwick Business School-in-The-Shard-by-nightThe event is being hosted by Warwick Business School, who is also sponsoring. The event will bring together leading individuals and organisations from multiple sectors who are committed to enabling progress for working women, women who have often overcome obstacles and adversity in order to build a career for themselves.

Here’s what Doug Gurr, UK Country Manager, Amazon, had to say:

“We are proud to be supporting this event, working with Womanthology and Warwick Business School in their endeavours to champion positive female role models who have succeeded in traditionally less gender diverse fields such as tech. We have numerous initiatives at Amazon aimed at helping women to reach their full potential and to embrace the diversity of thought that a gender balanced workforce brings. We’re keen to be participating in Womanthology’s event to learn from academics and colleagues in other organisations about what more can be done to accelerate progress towards gender balance in the workplace.”
