About EMIS Health

We’re the UK leader in connected healthcare software and services. Through innovative IT, we’re giving healthcare professionals access to the information they need to provide better, faster and cheaper patient care.

Our national reach includes clinical software used in every major healthcare setting by 10,000 organisations – from GP surgeries to high street pharmacies, community, hospitals, and specialist services. By providing innovative, integrated solutions, we’re working to break the boundaries of system integration and interoperability.

At EMIS Health, we believe that a diverse workplace delivers better results because it more accurately reflects our customer base by ensuring a wider range of experience.

About the roles

As a developer, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping the future of integrated and innovative products used within the National Health Service. You’ll help develop and maintain our solutions which support more than 5,000 Primary Care Surgeries, are used by over 100,000 clinicians and securely store over 40 million patient records.

We work in a lean and agile manner using Microsoft’s technologies such as .NET, TFS, Visual Studio, C#, WPF, REST, SQL Server, SpecFlow and Coded UI, so it’s important you bring with you some knowledge in these technologies along with a willingness to learn and we’ll give you the rest to help you to succeed in your career with us.

At EMIS Health we recognise the importance of career development, so that’s why we have defined career paths. Whether you want to build a technical career or move into role managing or leading teams we can support you.

EMIS-Health-staffWe’ve organised ourselves into Pods, each one with its own objective to achieve in order to help our business expand and key to our software exceeding our users’ expectations. Each Pod includes developers, testers, UX leads, product owners, architects and project managers. You’ll be surrounded by plenty of talented people who’ll share their knowledge and passion to help you succeed.

The roles are based at our Fulford Grange offices in the leafy village of Rawdon, just outside Leeds. We’re close enough to Leeds to benefit from its excellent transport links but we’re far enough outside that you don’t have to travel into the city centre.
