Your new role

In this new role, you will set and lead on the execution of our data management strategy.  Your reach will span across all the enterprise data silos, meaning you’ll have a large and varied stakeholder group to manage and influence.

As an established data expert, you’ll act as a conduit and catalyst for change between the business and the system owners, data stewards and data owners.  Your immediate focus will be on the data organisation, setting the direction, prioritising data projects and establishing a data programme plan.

Your aim will be to drive transformation in EMIS to ensure Data Governance/Data Management creates value and implement a data maturity framework that delivers tangible business benefits and efficiencies aligned to the enterprise strategy.

The team you’ll join

You’ll report into our Chief Information Security Officer and form part of his senior team.  In time, you’ll build a small team around you and, as a function, you’ll work closely with multiple functions and projects in a matrix structure.

What you’ll bring

These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success in this role, however, we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them:

  • You’ll have a proven ability to devise and deliver Data Governance strategies, frameworks and roadmaps, ideally within a global organisation
  • You’ll understand and be able to apply Data Maturity Models (DMM or DMBOK)
  • You’ll be able to manage projects and stakeholders at all levels
  • Any knowledge of process document and analysis tools will be a real advantage
  • A qualification (eg, ITIL, BCS Data Analysis Certification, DAMA) will be an advantage

What we’ll give you

As well as a competitive salary, a bonus and private healthcare, you’ll get a benefits package which includes an enhanced pension, life assurance and much more!

We also take our corporate social responsibility pretty seriously and we believe in giving back to our community, so you’ll get the chance to be involved in lots of fundraising events throughout the year.  Our latest one was a challenge to complete up to a 100km walk over 24hrs across the Peak District!
