Your new role
As our Director of Group Portfolio Management Office you’ll be accountable for leading and driving forward our Portfolio Management Office which supports the strategic planning, investment decisions and prioritisation of all portfolio initiatives at EMIS Group.
This is a key role within the business and works closely with our Group Executive team, and Senior Leadership team, as a result you’ll be at the fore of understanding our future business strategy, making this role challenging but exciting.
You’ll have overall responsibility for an end to end Portfolio Management office, ensuring that the relevant teams within EMIS Group have all the resources and capabilities they need to deliver on time, to quality and in budget against programme requirements. You’ll support the team as we embed governance standards and processes, provide timely and accurate information and give relevant insight to the business to support them in decision making.
We are happy to consider any location provided you are prepared to travel to our sites on occasion. We are also happy to be flexible and would consider condensed hours or part time.
The team you’ll join
You’ll be an integral part of our Group Operations function, reporting to Bob Brown our Group COO, you’ll be a senior leader guiding our Group PMO department.
What you’ll bring
These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success for this role:
- Proven ability to shape a Group Portfolio Management strategy
- Evidence of implementing robust governance standards, oversight and reporting tools to aid decision strategic decisions
- Strong relationship-building skills across all stakeholder levels, maintaining excellent working relationships, enhancing engagement and improving the GPMO support and services.
- Ability to think tactically, identifying significant success factors and utilising them
- Demonstrate a solution-based approach to customers’ issues
- Extensive people management experience
- Experience in leading and managing change
- The confidence to challenge and guide senior leaders
