About

EMIS is the UK leader in connected healthcare software and services. Our solutions are widely used across every major UK healthcare setting, from primary and community care to high street pharmacies, secondary care and specialist services! We’re giving healthcare professionals access to the information they need to provide better, faster and cheaper patient care.

Your new role

As our Group Architect, you’ll drive the continued adoption and use of cloud services across our business.

You’ll be an evangelist for cloud technology and work closely with our Development, Architecture, Group Executive and Senior Leadership Teams to see the vision for our future products realised.

Our Chief Architect will be a vital part of our development process as we increase interoperability across our current and future product lineup.  This includes (and will continue to include) cloud and on-prem solutions which will need to be taken into account.

The team you’ll join

You’ll report into our CTO, Nuno and work closely with other architects across the business. In time, you’ll build a small team around you as the role broadens.

What you’ll bring

These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success for this role, however, we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them:

  • You’ll be an experienced and proven Cloud Architect
  • You’ll be familiar with Azure and AWS – ideally Azure will be your key area of focus
  • You’ll be familiar with microservices and multi-cloud architecture
  • You’ll have excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work with a range of different people
  • Experience in healthcare will be ideal

What we’ll give you

As well as a competitive salary, car allowance and bonus, you’ll get a benefits package that includes a generous pension, private medical cover and life assurance.

We also take our corporate social responsibility pretty seriously and we believe in giving back to our community, so you’ll get the chance to be involved in lots of fundraising events throughout the year.
