Your new role
Healthcare Gateway`s unique software connects over 180 health and social care organisations across the UK to share 30 million patient records. Our technology provides healthcare professionals with instant access to real-time information held about a patient from many different care settings.
We have an innovative technology that supports the delivery of first class health and social care. We mobilise important healthcare information to ensure that, whichever health or social care setting a patient presents, the most up to date and relevant information is made available.
We’re looking for talent with a hunger and passion to create innovative market-leading solutions that will impact the way UK healthcare is delivered. Not only will you be putting your Java knowledge and experience to work, but you’ll also be working on a number of additional technologies including AWS, Linux, Docker, Java 11+, Spring Framework, Bash Scripting, Python and Big Data.
The team you’ll join
You’ll be part of our Healthcare Gateway Development team, who’re a close-knit team of Developers passionate about innovation and what we do. The team operate in an agile environment and are working towards a DevOps culture providing the team with greater ownership and control over to the work they commit to.
You’ll have regular contact with the wider Healthcare Gateway team; including our sales, marketing, project management and product teams, so plenty of knowledge and expertise to help you to succeed in your role!
The team are home working, therefore this is a remote position with ad hoc travel to Leeds required.
What you’ll bring
These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success for this role, however, we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them;
- A strong technical background in producing code, tests, and documentation in Java
- Fantastic interpersonal skills, including communication, problem-solving, decision making, and effective negotiation
- A true innovator with a passion for new technologies
- A collaborator with a proactive and strong teamwork ethic
