EMIS is the UK leader in connected healthcare software and services. Our solutions are widely used across every major UK healthcare setting, from primary and community care to high street pharmacies, secondary care and specialist services. Dedicated to creating and implementing innovative IT solutions, we’re giving healthcare professionals access to the information they need to provide better, faster and cheaper patient care.
Your new role
Our Technical Implementation Specialists are responsible for the installation, upgrade, and configuration and troubleshooting of our Acute products and applications. Most of our product deployments are across key technologies such as SQL database, windows servers, IIS applications, and are hosted on customer servers, so knowledge of server environments, remote access and file transfer would be really beneficial.
Whilst you will be collaborating with the Project Manager and Product Specialist you will have a degree of autonomy and will have responsibility as the primary technical lead and take ownership of the end-to-end implementation.
Our Technical Implementation Specialists are mature and commercially aware, constantly improving and looking for ways to make things better whilst always considering customer experience, and most importantly they get the job done.
This role is predominantly home-based, however, you may be occasionally required to travel to customer sites.
The team you’ll join
Working mostly in a team of four across our medicine management products you’ll report into our Technical Services Manager. You’ll take direction from our Project Managers and Product Specialists as well as working closely with other departments such as support and development, whilst continually building close relationships with our customers.
What you’ll bring
These are the skills and experience you’ll need to set yourself up for success in this role, however, we’d still love to talk to you even if you don’t tick all of them:
- Experience with the installation & configuration of SQL Server database based applications
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot SQL scripts and write scripts to perform data migration
- Understanding of web-based technologies and server-side architecture
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Resilience and tenacity to continually improve and provide excellent service to our customers
What we’ll give you
As well as a competitive salary, you’ll get a benefits package that includes things like a pension, life assurance, gym discounts and a cycle to work scheme!
We also take our corporate social responsibility pretty seriously and we believe in giving back to our community, so you’ll get the chance to be involved in lots of fundraising events throughout the year. Our latest one was a challenge to complete up to a 100km walk over 24hrs across the Peak District!
