Championing equal opportunities for everyone is at the heart of what Womanthology is about. Which is why we make sure everything we do is accessible to everyone. Here are some tips, plus examples of what we’re doing to support accessibility.
Getting your devices to do what you need them to do
Whether you’re on a computer, tablet, laptop or smartphone, there are some simple things you can do with your settings to tailor it to your needs.
My Computer My Way is a fantastic resource from AbilityNet: a step-by-step guide to adjustments you can make to your device so that websites and apps are easier to see, hear and use.
Some specific things that can instantly make a big difference:
- Making text larger
- Using a different font
- Changing your colours
- Magnifying the screen
- Making your device talk to you
Making our events as accessible as they are unmissable
Whether our events are in the real or the virtual world, we do everything we can to make them unforgettable for all the right reasons.
For our virtual events, we work with world-class event hosting companies to make them as enjoyable, safe, accessible and smooth-running as possible.
With our real world events, we only ever select venues who share our commitment to accessibility. Then we work closely with each one to work out how we can best meet delegates’ and attendees’ accessibility requirements.
