“It makes me incredibly proud that we’re extending our partnership with Arnold Clark, a company that shares our belief in championing diverse talent.”

Putting female talent in the driving seat

In the challenging times that we’ve all faced over recent years, we have all realised that there is undoubtedly strength in numbers. We can achieve more together than we can alone. Good friends are hard to come by. Good work colleagues can be even harder to come by. Partner organisations to collaborate with are fewer and further between still.

Womanthology’s work with Arnold Clark goes way back to 2016. It began, as most of our collaborations do, by the discovery that we have a shared interest in taking an inclusive approach to finding and developing female talent.

Fast forward six years and I’m proud to announce that we’re extending our partnership with Arnold Clark. Our values align so we have struck up a road map to put female talent in the driving seat and take the UK automotive sector into a new era.

We will be doing this over the coming months by shining a light on their growing team and the amazing work they are doing to accelerate progress towards gender balance in the automotive sector. They’re also advocates for all other minority groups and taking an intersectional approach. They encourage their staff to bring their whole selves to work.

In addition to profiling their work on inclusion, we’ve also named Arnold Clark as our preferred supplier of new and used cars, as well as car hire.

Working in paid partnerships with carefully selected progressive organisations like Arnold Clark enables us to bring you more of the best first-person stories and wisdom each fortnight. It also helps us grown our communities of interest, so for this we’d like to thank them.

I’m joined on the new episode of our podcast by Arnold Clark’s group head of people, Lynne McBurney, so click here to join the conversation and learn more about the extended partnership.

Lynne said of the partnership:

“I’m delighted that we have extended our partnership with Womanthology – a digital platform that seeks to inspire women and celebrate their achievements. At Arnold Clark, we value being diverse in our make-up and united in our goals so we’re really proud to partner with an important organisation that shares our vision.”

If you’re interested in careers in automotive but perhaps aren’t sure where to start then look out for Arnold Clark roles on our jobs board. You can learn more about what it’s like to work at Arnold Clark by following the links below too.
