LinkedIn Bring In Your Parents Day: Helping share expertise across the generations at work

Bring In Your Parents Day is all about getting parents and children together in the workplace to celebrate the expertise that both generations have to offer and give parents even more reasons to be proud of their children.

Businesses across the UK got involved, including Virgin, Logitech and Hawksmoor Restaurant. And, of course, we invited parents into the LinkedIn London office on 6th November to give them a taste of what we do every day.

Distance no object!

My Mum and Dad couldn’t make the day itself as they live in Australia, but we didn’t let that stop them from taking part – the wonders of technology meant we could live stream what was happening here in London to them in Sydney. It was wonderful to be able to share my work life at LinkedIn in London with them.

They have always taught me to take risks and embrace change and even though it’s often been daunting, I’ve taken job opportunities all over the world, as a result, which have proved to be fantastic experiences for me and my family.
