Womanthology podcast episode 3: Health Heroes – With special guests, Dr Helen Meese, Lucy Warner, CEO of the NHS Practitioner Health Service and Inês Santos

Welcome to the third episode of the Womanthology podcast.

In this episode we chat with Dr Helen Meese – electro-mechanical power engineer and Womanthology associate, who shares her thoughts on gender balance in engineering, what is on the horizon where healthcare meets engineering and ways to develop senior leadership experience at work.

We also meet Lucy Warner, chief executive of the NHS Practitioner Health Service. Lucy leads the organisation that supports NHS doctors and dentists affected by mental health or addiction issues. She talks about the importance of caring for the NHS heroes who have been caring for all of us during the COVID-19 crisis.

We will also be hearing from Ines Santos, Womanthology’s associate editor, who is going to be talking us through the written stories in the new issue.

There’s also your last chance to submit your entries for our #WomenInThePicture global photography prize. We want to shine a light on the experiences of working women around the world. We’ve put out a call for selfies that capture the challenges and the triumphs; the awe-inspiring multiplicity of women’s roles in a rapidly changing world.

Thank you for listening and remember, if you want to support what we do, please share the link for the show on social media, subscribe and leave a review in your podcast app.

Join us for the next episode where we’ll be hearing about the ways that technology has been saving us all throughout COVID-19.
